Tajamul Islam eight year old girl studying in class second from Bandipora has become world champion in Kick Boxing and has created history in winning a Gold medal in the world kick boxing championship after defeating her rival from United States in the final which was held in Andria Italy.
Tajamul Islam, a class two student, is currently in Italy where she participated in World Kick Boxing Championship which witnessed participation of more than ninety countries.
Tajamul islam Daughter of Gh Mohd lone of Tarakpora bandipora who is driver by profession works with a Hindustan construction company(HCC). Tajamul is reading in Army Good will School in Bandipora . Though the Father of Tajamul never allowed his financial crunch hamper Tajamul’ wishes and send Tajamul to learn martial arts in a local academy which is running by Master Fasil.
Her journey started in 2014 when she joined a local academy, which trains young boys and girls in martial arts.
The academy is run by Faisal Ali Dar, who was impressed with Tajamul’s skills instantly. “I spotted Tajamul from the distance. She wasn’t yet completely conversant with the rules of the game but she had the speed. I found her instinctively aggressive,” Faisal said.
Coach of Tajamul Islam, Master Fasil Ali, who is also an international kick boxing player himself, said that Tajamul participated in the world event with support from Kick boxing federation of India led by its vice chairman Ghulam Nabi Tantray.
Praising her dedication and determination, her coach, Faisal Ali Dar said,”Tajamul has shown ultimate fortitude considering her tender age but her success is the combined efforts of her parents, who supported her in every possible way, her teachers at Goodwill school, who worked really hard to polish her raw talent and most of all the senior Vice-president kick-boxing Federation of India, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Tantray, who encouraged Tajamul to show her talent even after some age related issues surfaced”.
Mr. Ghulam Nabi Tantray is the only person behind the success of the little girl Tajamul from Bandipora who won the Gold Medal at World Kickboxing Championship held at Itlay. He is the real hero working in the background. We should always support such kind of people as they have the real ability to pick Diamond from Dust. My support with U always Sir!!! Earlier Tajamul was the youngest Gold medalist in the J&K Wushu Championships and she also qualified for the National Wushu Championships in Haridwar six months ago relatives told.
Vice-president, Kickboxing Federation of India, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Tantray, spoke to this Correspondent said “Tajamul has shown ultimate fortitude considering her tender age but her success is the combined efforts of her parents, who supported her in every possible way, her teachers at Goodwill school, who worked really hard to polish her raw talent and most of all the senior.” Her eyes full of determination and her face listening with the sweat of hard work. Tajamul’s success is an inspiration to the girls of the valley. She has proven that if you set your heart to it, nothing is difficult. Kashmiri women are slowly breaking all stereotypes and proving they are as capable as men.
Tajamul’s story is inspiring a lot of girls to break barriers and achieve their dreams. Nodoubt that “i belongs to backward area but I, along with other kids like me, are going to take it to new heights,” she said.
